1970 442 4 speed steering colum question

This is a picture of my 1970 442 steering column. This is a 4 speed car we are rebuilding.
The rod shown in the picture is connected to the ignition lock cylinder but I can't figure out where the other end connects.
Can anyone help me here...
Thanks

Column

The ignition switch should mount with those two screws in the picture by the rod end. The rod end you are wondering about goes into the ignition switch.

Be careful. Dont tighten the screws too tight. They strip very easily.
