i have 1969 oldsmoble cutlass s . what dose the s stan for it not supreme is it sport?could someone tell me .

I don't believe it stood for anything. It's like the S in Harry S Truman.


I drive a 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S. The 2.5 is the engine size (2.5 liter Four), but the S doesn't stand for anything as far as I know. There is also a 3.5 SE model. Again, the 3.5 is the engine (3.5 liter V-6), but the SE is just a couple of letters. At least, I never saw in the literature or dealer brochures a mention of what the letters stand for.

The "S" stands for "S". It is simply a model name, nothing more, nothing less. Don't try to read anything into it.
