1969 hood

Can a person put a ram air hood on a 1969 oldsmoble s or keep the old one becouse i like the 442 look. Or should I keep it original? Would this make the value of the car go down??

A 70 OAI hood will fit on a 69. I have one on my car and I love the way it looks. If you like the look then go for it, although if your car is all original some may frown on it

No its not original the motor is a 1970 but everything else is. I am rebuilding the motor right now so only the body is left to do . that will have to wait this is the last car I will be building. Because of age and money . I built a 1968 pontiac gto and sold it 10 years ago and I kick my self in the ***.

Go for it. All you have to do is take it off later if you change your mind. I'm going with the Hurst scoop on mine and converting the entire car to a Hurst Olds. I'm sure I'll get lots of frowns. Don't really give a damn about that. I.E.-Example- Is that scoop/Car original? My answer......it is now!

The 69 Hurst Olds scoop is what I would do. If you do that, don`t forget to drill the holes in the bottom of the air cleaner to drain any moisture onto the top of the intake.

What I'm going to try to do is avoid water at all cost..... I dont have a original air cleaner. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35557405@N08/
