You can't have too many toys

The vin identifies it as a 442 and yes the 3.91 rear end gears (should be a posi as well) was an option. If factory the housing should have a TO or T3 code stamped in it. The T3 would be if the car came factory with disc brakes.

If the price is right check it out for sure. When you get more details post them if you'd like to get more feedback on the car. John

As 2blu442 says, this car is a 1969 442 2-door Holiday Hardtop built at Lansing.

The car has a rebuilt 455 in it with 600 miles on it. (Not the original 400). Rebuilt 4 speed and rear end. Decent interior. Good frame. From what he says, it probably needs floor and trunk work along with quarters. I could do all the labor, metal, body, and paint myself. I may look at it tomorrow. He is asking $5900.00 for it.

Which is usually overly optimistic, in my experience.

The only repro quarters are the ill-fitting Chinesium partial quarters.

Just be very careful to add up all the sheet metal you'll be buying. Look very closely at the pinchweld areas for rust. It's almost always less expensive in the long run to buy a more solid, complete car.

DO NOT ask me how I know this...

Thanks Joe. That was kinda along the same lines I was thinking. I may still take a look at it, as it is only about an hour away.
