1969 442 4 speed Holiday Coupe for sale
Have listed my car for sale with pics. in the "For Sale" section. No responses, questions or concerns from anyone. Should I be posting in a different forum? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks I am located south of Seattle WA. I am deeply sad that I have to sell this car as it has taken me years and over tens of thousands of dollars to get it to this condition, it.s a blast to drive, but selling it will help the family. I always put family first. I will start another Olds project in the future, I guarantee it.
I still have zero responses to my last 3 posts, which is discouraging. Opinions? Suggestions? I don't know how to post links, but this address will get you to the descriptions and pictures of my car for sale. Price reduced to $21,000 O.B.O.

Wow, sorry to see you selling it. Might know why you have no responses. When I clicked your link for some reason it didn't take me to your car. It went to an advertising site. I re-copied the link and this one should work: http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/2969306621.html Could be no one was seeing the car??? Let's get the word out there and get some $$$ in your pockets.>>>> As posted by you in case the link fails again....
1969 Olds 442 Real 442 Vin # 344879Z127148 Regretfully I am selling my baby. I Purchased this car 3 years ago, it had the beautiful paint job completed. (white w / gold stripes and gold rear spoiler )
I removed the 403 motor and transmission and installed a completely new rebuilt 1968 Olds 455 with the desireable big valve "C" heads. I also installed a date code correct Muncie M-20 4 speed tansmission #P9M30 ( P= Muncie 9 = 1969, M = March, 30 = 30th day). I fabricated a dual snorkel air cleaner and under the bumper ram air scoops ( welded to frame ) with new rubber air ducts for ram-air. Added new aluminum intake manifold.
I used the best components on every engine item , new 90 amp Alternator, high torque mini starter, Miledon water pump, highvolume oil pump, new electric choke, re-built Rochester Quadrajet Carburator, Optima red
top battery etc. (I have a long list ).
Engine has the "W" "Z" exhaust manifolds and completely new 2.5" exhaust w / Flowmaster 40 mufflers.
Interior is new, light blue in color w / new working dome light.
I replaced all front and rear suspension parts , upper and lower control arm bushings, shock bushings, rear boxed control arm bushings, front and rear sway bar bushings, new upper and lower ball joints, new tie rod ends, new front and rear big-block springs, new tie rod ends etc.
Brakes are drum all the way around with all new brake lines, new brake master cylinder, all new brake cylinders, springs, brake pads.
There is no rust on the undercarriage anywher as this was a California car. ( manufactured in Fremont CA, see Vin. )There is very minor rust at bottom of rear quarters ( Typ. A- body ) and where the front and rear windows meet the dash. I never got around to fixing.
New trunk, door , window and front cowl weatherstripping. New "Body by fisher" door sills. original jack.
This car runs strong , I have put less than 2,000 miles on the new motor, driven in traffic on hot summer days and it never comees close to overheating.
It has a aftermarket "Sun' tach. and aftermarket oil pressure , water temp and volt meter mounted below dash.
CONS:
the fuel guage does not work, needs new sending unit from tank ($60.00 ) and the speedometer cable ( $60.00 ) needs to be installed. ( I may fix in the next 2 weeks ) small tear in headliner. Radio delete.
You would have to purchase a frame off completely rebuilt car to find one nicer than this. Please no tire kickers. Test drives will be $ $25.00 (refundable if purchased) Test rides are free.

I don't know how to delete the old posts, and certainly don't want to infect anyones computer. the link was posted for me by Rickman48. I did not post that link myself. If anyone can help or an adminisrtator can delete for me I would appreciate it. I went to the post, opened it and clicked on edit posting, but there is no option for deleting a post.

Follow this process:
1. Open the post through the 'edit'
2. Select 'delete' which is the option next to Cancel
2a. This will open a dialogue box under the post.
2b. Select 'delete post' and provide reason eg: "link has virus"
4. Press bottom right 'Delete this post'. BAM! it's gone.

I posted this originally 2 weeks ago, trying to give my fellow olds enthusiasts the first chance to buy. No interest from anyone on this site ,not even 1 question. Sale pending from a local couple. I have my eyes on a 68 Cutlass S convertible for my next project.

I think we're all just cheap! Glad you have someone local asking questions and potential buyer.

Thanks Allan, I adjusted the choke yesterday and tuned the carb. This morning fired right up , took it for a drive ran great. I will keep the car if I can't get fair money. If I sell it , time for the next Oldsmobile.
