What brand of valve covers are those? Are they painted or powdercoated?

IMG00090.jpgThey are Moroso valve covers. They were chrome. You can't get them in blue for oldsmobile so I painted them myself. I was compfortable doing it since I painted my car myself in my garage. It really was easy. I scuffed up the chrome real good with a scotchbrite pad until the shine was off of it. Then I went to Autozone and got a can of Dupli-color Metalcast Anodized Blue to match my air cleaner. It comes in several different colors. I used the metalcast base coat first then the Metalcast blue. I then put about 3 coats of clear coat on them. I'm very pleased with the results. They really have that anodized look like the air cleaner.
