1967 cowl tag help

1967 cowl tag help

Hello all, I am thinking of buying a 67 Cutlass Supreme Holiday coupe..I was hoping someone could help me with deciphering the cowl tag? I know its a fremont built car..I will attempt to ad a pic of the cowl tag..All help is appreciated..[ATTACH]Cgosms_2014-03-1101-21-48.jpg[/ATTACH]

02A = 1st week of February 1967 begin build
67 = 1967
33817 = Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe
BF = Fremont California Fisher Body Plant
04332 = Fisher Body Unit #
970 = Black in color themed interior with Strato Bucket seats
R R = Spanish Red Lower and Upper Body Paint. (No vinyl top)
B80 = Chrome Roof Drip Moldings

Thanks..That is exactly how it is now..I was wondering if there was any way of telling the motor and tranny combo, power brakes, AC, rear end, etc from the cowl tag also? Thanks for the info

You are quite welcome and welcome aboard That info is not on the cowl tag. The cowl tag is from Fisher Body that focused on the body and interior from the firewall (cowl) back. Oldsmobile assembly plant did the frame, engine, rear end, fenders, etc... The info you seek would be on the build sheet or window sticker. If you have the Protect-o-Plate then you can be able to match the engine and transmission unit # to the car and a few other things.
