1967 442

Hi,

There is a 1967 442 that appears to be in decent shape near me. It currently has a 350 that needs work or to be replaced. It does come with a mild built 455 and TH400 though.

From what I understand a 400 was the correct engine but I'm not concerned about that. I don't know if it has front disc brakes, I'm hoping it does. It is a console shift automatic which is nice and the interior condition appears to be good. Other than the usual floor/frame/trunk condition and any obvious signs of bad body work, is there anything else to be on the look out for with these - either in terms of desired features or problematic areas?

Check the back window area, they had a poor design where the lower area below the rear windows holds water and can get rusty. Hope it works out for you.

Both front and rear glass channels are prone to rot which rots the front floor and trunk floor. And there is a bodymount that always rot for trunk floor. Look in trunk under mat on each side near wheel housing. Disc brakes up front were available for 67 but they are rare from the factory.

This is so common that a reproduction panel is available.
