1966 Hood w/ 70-72 W-30 Scoops

interesting:

His description is hokey as hell, but it probably did take some work to fabricate that.

I think it would look better if the angle of the openings matched the angle of the front lip of the hood better.

Interesting though. Kinda cool.

Does not do it for me or the car in my opinion. It just doesnt go. I give someone credit for trying though. Maybe if it was closer to front edge of hood and not so long in the back it would look better and for sure should not be angled as it does not go with body lines.

I like it, a cross between a Buck GS hood and a 442 hood. Though by the looks of it the openings are too short and they sit too far back to be of any siginificance, but then again its for the look.

X2 Interesting idea, a little off target.

first its not big enough..looks small on the hood...second the angles of the openings dont work with the angle of the front end, and like someone said..too far back..

looks like the center is down about 2 inches from weld warpage...i kinda like the idea but bad execution..im sure the next one he does will be a lot better and thought out..lol

Olds engineers had it right when the put the '66 OAI intakes in the high pressure area of the front bumper.

Well, a few comments. First, as others have noted, the 70-72 O.A.I. scoops do not look good on other years. Not only do the leading edges of the scoops parallel the leading edge of the hood, the width of the scoops matches the grilles. This is why the scoops look like crap on other years (even 69s). Sorry to those who have the G-body W-25 hoods.

Second, this idiot seller doesn't realize that his 66 hood does not fit a 67.

Third, the "metal work done, just needs filler" is code for "I warped the hell out of the hood when I welded it, which is why I'm selling it".
