Okay not up on 1966 year oldsmobile!Will a 1967 hood work on a 1966 442 ? What needs to be done if it will work? I know this has been ask before but I didn't find it. So please someone let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will only fit a 66. I wish they would interchange, I really like the louvers in the 67.

 

I was referring to any 1967hood not 442! I agree i like the lovers also.

 

No 67 hood will interchange with 66. Unless you replace the entire front sheetmetal, bumper, grill, etc...

 

For every model year from 1964-1971, the hood, grill, and core support are one year only items. The 1971-72 hoods are the only ones that interchange, and that is a fluke of the last minute reuse of the 1971 models as 1972s.

 

Joe are you sure that 69 and 70 do not interchange? I think the tooth is removable then you can use it .

 

Yeah, actually you are right, though they aren't directly interchangeable due to the differences in the latches.
