1965 griffith - car show
#3
Original Griffiths were scary and unruly little bastards. They were WAAAAAY overpowered for what they were.
Back during Virginia International Raceway's original incarnation (1957-1975) a couple of Griffith drivers were seriously injured when their Griffiths went squirrelly, as they were wont to do. A lot of 289 Ford power in a car that weighed <2000 lb and can best be described as "half-baked". Just wasn't well designed or built.
Later TVR Griffiths were much better balanced cars.
