1965 cutlass

Question. Are the rear inner and outer fender wells the same on a 1965 cutlass as on a 1965 f85 deluxe sedan

Two door sedan or the four door ?

If your taking from a four door to a two door I don't think so as the rear quarter panels are the same from center of wheel well back.

thanks for the response

Regarding your question yes it is a four door sedan. Which I have been preparing to change into a coupe. Long story short started with a coupe. Frame rotten. Bought sedan for frame. Discovered sedan better shape then what was left of coupe. So saved roof line rear window and sides of coupe. With idea cutting off sedan roof and rear section the same way and welding back on coupe .everything looks like will work. Except at the front inner and outer rear wheel wells. Looks to be about 2" smaller then the originals on coupe. If so will have to do some modifications. My son and I not sure if we are doing the right thing. Destroying the sedan. But four door not are cup of tea. Trying to create a killer muscle car. Not a low rider. Lol

Stop what you are doing and find a coupe.

All i have left that wasnt rioted away is the roof and rear window and sides. Cut off as one piece. With the idea of putting it on to the sedan. Everything measures up but the front of the rear wheel wells I believe will be couple inches smaller then what was on the coupe. I figured less work in the end because the oruginal coupe was to far gone. Didnt have a trunk and back of floor was roitef out. This sedan body is beautiful. Check out my thread to be or not to be I have couple pics.

Was not that easy to find up here in the great white north. Lucky to find this sedan in as good a shape as it is. The coupe I started with only had the engine going for it. Other wise rotten through and though found in the grass. Check out. My thread to be or not be be have couple pics

Listen to TK. Cut your losses and find a better coupe (Club Coupe or hardtop). Unless you have skills like George Barris, Chip, Bodie or one of the other high-end chop houses, you will be "chasing the rabbit". Do yourself a favor and get a good car. Years from now, you will understand why-----
