1964 Jetstar and Starfire frame swap

Hi guys...I have a 1964 Olds Jetstar 88 convertible. Got it for a great price and noticed a couple years later that the frame is in really bad shape. I found a 1964 Starfire convertible a guy is parting out a couple cities away and was wondering if the frame swap would work. Thanks for the input in advance.

The J88 frame has differences where the 330 mounts instead of the 394. You will need to weld plates to the rear of the crossmember to accommodate the 330 motor mounts. Also the trans mount will be different and will require fabrication and welding. This isn't a big deal if you can weld, and once you have the two frames side-by-side the small differences will be obvious. Otherwise the frames are the same. I assume you plan to use the suspension, brakes, and rear axle from the J88, correct? These will transfer to the Starfire frame. The Starfire used the larger brakes, different rear axle, and 5 x 5" wheel bolt pattern.
