1962 Starfire Trim Questions

I am new here and will be getting my 1962 Stafire in about three weeks. I am still getting familiar with the car and have a few questions about things that I see on mine that differ from some others. One thing I noticed is my car does not have the thin molding piece that runs down each side from the door down to the end of the rear quarter panel. This is the piece that is in the center of the brushed aluminum panels. I see most '62 Starfires have this molding but have also seen on the internet that their are a few others like mine that do not. So I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this.
The other trim issue different on mine is the molding on my hood that runs down the center and ends in the fin ornament. Mine appears to be the same as a '62 88 and not that of a '62 Starfire Were these interchangeable? Although mine is mint and looks good on the car, I'll more than likely be looking for the correct piece to replace it.
Thanks so much!

The center bead was a mid-year addition. The factory parts book shows the aluminum side panels as "first type, less center bead" and "second type w/center bead". Yours must be an earlier build car.

Side panels

The first run 1962 Starfires came with panels that had no bump strip. After Olds replaced many panels under warranty they installed the bump strip. You have a pretty rare car there. Need a pic of the hood posted.

Thanks Dennis! I'm really enjoying getting these details about the car. I'll post a picture of the car and hood very soon as soon as I get it.
