1957 Rear glass
Hi, I am a new member, live in sweden and recently bought a 1957 Super 88 2door HT. the three piece rear glass was missing so I bought a set from a nother guy and he arranged that it followed the car when it was shipped to Sweden.
I haven't removed the old rubber channel yet but when I lay the glass (the corner glass) in place it don't seem to fit, is it not the same rear glass on all models 1957? Maybe my glass is from a 4 door, I never asked the guy I bought it from.
Anybody who knows?

I have your answer sir. Im restoring a '57 Buick Special (46R) for a friend who bought it new when he was 29. After a lot of research and photos and waisted trips I know for a fact the Special and Century 2 dr Hardtop Riviera use a unique shape and size glass. This also fits your Super 88. I dont know for sure what other Olds it fits ,but you could asume its the same rule . 2dr HT only. I the case of Buick 4dr HT uses the 2dr/4dr sedan glass. Check out 421-6spd's listing for the corners. But the center is mine!

The sedan glass is taller than the hard-top glass...and the rear glass installs from the inside of the car with the inner mouldings removed. These mouldings hold the glass in place after it is installed.
