1955 Olds 98 Holiday Coupe power seat

So things are moving along with my 1955 Olds 98 Holiday Coupe. I have a power seat, and it looks to be a 2 way power seat only (of course, my luck). Does this seem right to you guys? Were both 2 way and 4 way power seats utilized in 1955? If my car, does indeed have the correct powered seat that it should/could have, I will be looking to change it to either a 1955 4 way seat OR totally go off road and opt for a different year/make 6 way power seat.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what 6 way seat might work, won't work, works better, etc.

Your help is appreciated.

If you decide not to use the existing power seat, I would be interested in the tracks and mechanism.

The power seat and mechanism in my 1955?

I have no idea of value at the moment. I will look into it.

I am still trying to learn if power seat set ups from other cars, years, models will fit into a 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 Coupe. For the most part, I am keeping the car looking stock, but I do believe that my own personal comfort should take precedence over keeping the car original. It is nearly impossible to find the correct set up for the 1955, of which I presently own a 2 way power seat. I would like to install a 4 or 6 way power seat into my car to give me better maneuvering inside my car.

Basically wondering if not only Oldsmobiles, but other GM cars...Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and what years? Only 55-57? Or can I manage to fit in something as recent as 1981, etc?

I would really appreciate some input, insight, thoughts, ideas, anything.

Thanks in advance.
