That 1941 Olds on Page 68...

...of the September 2106 Hot Rod magazine looks familiar.

Then I realized how familiar.

My bud had a black, 1941 Olds coupe and he updated the suspension and complete drive train. I built the high compression 350 with W-31 heads and intake, forged pistons, and a 310 HP 4-speed cam. He used my switch-pitch T-400 in the build.

He lost interest before starting on the paint and interior and sold the car about 30 years ago to John Kosmoski.

Four years ago at SEMA I saw John and he asked about the engine. I figured he was finally going to start work.

And he did a great job.
