power wire

I am reinstalling the wireing on my 68 442 and have a question, in many of the diagrams I have seen it shows a "junction block" between the battery and the horn relay I dont remember one when I took the car apart but that was more than 15years ago and I don't have anything that looks as though it would would be that part. Is it possable that the lead goes straight from the battery to the horn relay? If not where do I get the junction block and is that what I woukld ask for?

The horn relay IS the junction block.

Your memory is good.

Ok so the way the wire lays out it looks as though the horn relay goes on the fender about in the middle, and I run a wire from the battery to the empty terminal on the horn relay and that will power the radieo, lights etc correct?
This has been a very long project I am getting close to finishing. If anyone is interested I can post a history of the car and my restoration, I have a ton of pictures.
Thanks for the help
Chris

It should be:

Heavy wire from battery to starter,
less-heavy wire from starter to horn relay,
feed wires from horn relay to rest of car, BUT
you could just run a 10ga wire from the battery right to the horn relay if you wanted to, especially if you included a proper fusible link.

The horn relay mounts on the vertical part of the fender near the hood hinge...there are two holes about an inch and a half apart. The tab on the relay goes into the smaller hole and a metal screw with a 3/8 head mounts the relay...

the proper size fusible link for a 10-gauge feed wire is a 14-gauge fusible link.
