Electric choke

Hey all, where would you hook up the electric choke on my new Holley carb?

It has a red power wire that should be connected to an ignition hot (on) wire or source. My eyes went buggy looking at the service manual schematics but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

I ran a wire into the fuse box 12v when the key is on!!!

Mine's wired to the wiper circuit which only gets power with the key on. Works fine but kinda crude. Do a search and there are some good ideas on better wiring options. I may some day try the one showing it connected to the oil pressure idiot light sender (I think) which only gets power when the engine runs as opposed to just the key on.

Ah nice! I never even thought of the wiper connection...duh its right there in front of my face.

Ultimately if I dont find something else Ill drill a hole and go for the fuse panel option but i'd really like to avoid that.

Thanks gents....i'll do another search and see what else I come up with.
