i purchased a 70 Vista / 455 about a year ago. I absolutely love it. The tailgate had a strange issue in that it swung open like a gate but did not fold down. all the proper external latches and bumper were there but no latch release or mechanisms inside etc. I have finally gotten around to removing the gate (i will try to load some pics when i get to my laptop!) and diving into that piece of the restoration. The wiring inside is a mess and i am trying to find a wiring diagram to use to try and rewire it. I have the A- Body diagram but it is all but useless for a tailgate (at least to my eyes!).

Anyone (Joe?? ; )' got a 70 Vista tailgate schematic??

All tailgate information (wiring as well as latch adjustment) is in the Fisher Body Manual.
