69 power top switch

Do the dash need to be removed to replace the convertible top switch above the radio

No, the dash do not need removal.
Remove the two screws and the wires and the connector will pull out. Separate the connector. Reverse the order to install.

But the plug is carefully hidden, over by the steering column. Unplug before pulling on switch.

Huumm OK didnt know that, I have 2 switches I thought were 68-69 vert top switches. Maybe they are rear defroster or other? Ill snap a ref pic.

i wonder why PO added a switch beneath the dash right of the steering column?
