OAI under hood light

Were under hood lights available on OAI hoods? Mine has one and has the correct brown harness wires but looks like it was mounted improperly. Which makes me wonder if they came with lights. I noticed there is an impression in the frame where the light should go. If anyone has a good photo of one please post.

The OAI hood would have one if you had the optional light package. That would have been the mirror, trunk, map light, and several others.

My car has the light package (map light, foot well, rear-view mirror, trunk light etc.) though come to think of it not sure it has the light in the glove box, can't remember. But my hood light was mounted lower on the hood, closer to the firewall and below the screen. Bob's looks like his is mounted on top of the screen or just below it.

Here are a couple pics from another hood I have showing where the mount holes are in relation to the hood features and the screen:

Thanks, so does anyone know what those two slots are for in the picture above below where the light mounts. The paint is warn off (or never painted) as if clearly something was there at one point.

There"s a rubber piece that holds in the windshield washer tubing that goes there.

thanks, you have been extremely helpful. I bet that part is still sitting on the body shop floor somewhere from 10 years ago.

Those rubber pieces are really hard to find. They usually turn rock hard from all the heat & when you try to pry the arrow shaped parts out of the hood, they rip & they you have no way to reattach it to another/same hood.
