1969 cruise control transducer

1969 cruise control transducer
Does anyone rebuild or restore these units? We've checked everything that goes with it in the factory cruise control system on my '69 4-4-2 and it all works. We don't have any idea on how to check the transducer but it is apparent to us that it does not work. I'm not sure but I believe this transducer style is a one-year only deal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The '69 service manual says that these are not designed to be rebuilt. If there are any problems with it, it should be replaced as it is calibrated at the factory. This is fine if it's 1970 and you need one, but not so good in 2018. You're right, the '68 and '70 transducers look different in the service manuals for those years.
But don't give up hope! I wondered if the transducer used in 1969 A-body Chevrolets might be the same, and check this out.
This is the cruise control diagram from the 1969 Olds Chassis Service Manual:
Here's the diagram for the A-body cruise control system from the 1969 Chevy Chassis Service Manual. Notice any similarities? They're almost identical, and the "transducer" in the Olds diagram looks just like the "regulator" in the Chevy diagram.
I don't know if new regulators/transducers are made for the Chevelles, but at least it gives you a wider market to look for a used one if you have to.
