just finished radio install
worked on the radio ,and kick panel speakers last night finally got some music in her .sounds pretty good only two speakers so far .trying to find a basic plug and play cd player for it as well
Looks good. Nice project for a late winter day you guys are having.
If you don't mind, please mention where you got your kickpanels and speakers. Any amp? or just stock watts? Good luck finding the cd player of your choice.

I used to shop them years ago, and then forgot about them.

I installed the same radio in a friends 66 Chevelle SS. I used a dual voice coil front speaker and some cheap 6x9's on the rear deck. It sounds pretty decent. Instead of a CD player, you ought to consider an MP3 player. They are small, inexpensive and hold a lot of music.
I bought one years ago and loaded a bunch of my cd's on it and never looked back. Mine is 4gb and can hold up to 1000 songs. I bought this when they were cheap.
Nice clean install. Looks great, I like the kick panel speaker set-up you have.
I've been wanting to install a decent radio with USB for some time. Just have an old Pioneer cassette deck hooked to 4 speakers in my 76 currently, can barely hear it over the exhaust . I think its only a 25 watt POS from the 80's.

well my kids are coming in handy tonight they showed me how to put all my cds on itunes then transfer all the music to an old i phone i had ,which i can plug into the aux cable on the stereo and listen .that will do for now
There is a nice cassette deck that looks similar, 200 watt with cassette, mp3 etc, just $250 Canadian plus shipping is too much for me right now. Found a NIB 100 watt am/fm cassette for less than $100 shipped that won't require cutting the dash. I figure that and tweeter mod in place of the factory front speaker. Is the factory front speaker a 4x6"? I could maybe find a single one of those too. Eric that must be one old Pioneer deck, most were 25 watt x 4.
