Voltage regulator

1968 Cutlass Convertible. Replaced my old volatge regulator with new one (VR103) from rock auto. Started car and have GEN light and voltage gauge only shows a little over 10 volts. I know the alternator is good. Can I adjust the regulator. Looked at some youtube videos, but they weren't very helpful.

Why was the VR changed? Sounds like you have a faulty one, which is why I buy those sort of parts locally. Easier to exchange.

Yeah, I've always had good luck with Rock Auto, but I think this is a bad one.

Have you checked the wiring? How was the alternator tested?

Rather than starting two threads, perhaps you can keep all the info in a single thread so everyone responding has full background. I ***-U-ME you are talking about your 68 with the modified wiring.
