Turn signal 70 442
Been a loooong time since I posted here. But.... I have an issue. 1970 442. Turn signal and flashers work on passenger side only. I replaced the lamps. They were fine. (but just in case) Would my next step be the actual flasher unit (Im doubting). Or the signal flasher under the dash? I did locate it. My god did they make this tight up in there lol Its a three pedal car so theres no place to put my head and I'm not as flexible as I used to be. So this is a pita 🤦🏽♂️😅 Here's a pic of the turn signal unit for what ever it's worth. Thanks all.

What always killed me was the clip the turn signal flasher mounts in. Damn thing has sharp edges...😬
See if they work with the four way flashers.
The t/s flasher is the quickest, cheapest and easiest thing to replace (old guy access notwithstanding). If a new flasher doesn't solve it, the turn signal switch itself is the next thing in line.
You can unplug t/s switch at the steering column base and test continuity on it. You have a CSM with the color wiring diagrams?

Push and pull the hazard flasher **** a few times, sometimes the contacts get crusty and cause weird electrical issues.
check for power on the yellow and bluewire of the turn signal switch (with the turn signal on) yellow is power to the rear light, blue is the front lamp. If you have no power, most likely the switch is defective.

A lot of times the ground on the tail light gets corroded from life. Two wires off both the front and the rear lights. Follow those wires. Make sure the wires in the two prong connector is not corroded. Make sure metal touches metal. If you see a ground check that. Super common problem to have a spot in the socket of the bulb. Make sure that the socket isn't gummed up. Often there is old grease on the bulbs that prevent the bulb from grounding in the socket. Make sense? Sorry for all the details but trying to help.
