Stuck temp gauge Erratic amp gauge 67 442 rally Pac

After all my dash restoration and new harness my amp gauge (wish upon disassembly had the needle buried) now works (sort of) it moves down instead of up when giving it gas.

also my temp gauge isn’t moving at all. It’s just stuck between hot and cold.

Sounds as though the ammeter wiring is reversed. That should be fairly easy to correct.

Isn’t this all controlled through the printed circuit board master plug? Would this mean the new M&H harness is wrong or it is wired wrong somewhere else?

Well, I just assumed everything in the charging system was working correctly, and that may not be correct. It is possible that the alternator is not putting out enough current, and when you accelerate, the ammeter is telling you the battery is discharging (there is current coming out of the battery to power the vehicle) instead of the alternator powering the vehicle and charging the battery.

I dunno. It's hard to diagnose electrical issues through an internet connection.
