Repro Wiring Harnesses

Repro Wiring Harnesses
Most of my wiring is shot, so during my long resto, I am going to replace every single wire/harness. Who is the best of the best repro place?
Looking at Fusick, M&H, and American Autowire... they seem to use many of the same part #'s. For example, the Dash Harness for 1972 all Cutlass/442 with Rally Pak is part # 16880 for all three. So who actually makes this Dash Harness??
Also, anyone know the diff between the two below...
Fusicks (Rear Body Light Harnesses)
14460 1970-72 Coupe Rear Body Intermediate Harness
14455 1970-72 Rear Panel Light Harness Coupe & Convertible
M&H
14460 1972 Rear Lamp Intermediate Harness, coupe
14455 1972 Rear Lamp Harness rear panel, all
AAW (REAR BODY HARNESSES) *you can only select ONE of the below when using their 'full car quote' option
14460 1972 REAR BODY HARNESS, intermediate, coupe
14455 1972 REAR BODY LIGHT HARNESS, rear panel

I haven't bought from either of these companies but their names do come up a lot.

I bought my wiring harnass from M&H and it is very good quality. everything match up perfectly without any modifications. The price was really great also. They had to make the harnass for the lights, horn and that took about a month. but the other engine harnass was in stock and got it right off. Also one of the members said he used OPG but when he got it he found that it also came for M&H and said he could have saved himself some money.

Do they wrap the wires where needed with that non stick factory electrical like tape, provide looming where needed under the hood, etc.? What about from the dash to the rear... that wide flat plastic cover that goes under the carpet to protect the wires?

I bought underhood harness(2) and yes they are wrapped in the tape(fish) I am happy I used that company

My friend restores fairly high end Corvettes. As he has been helping me with my 442, he's stated several times to me that the M&H harnesses I purchased are junk. The wires are thinner than OEM, several of the connectors are incorrect or the wrong size, so we've had to file them out or change them outright.
For his money, he says to go with Lectric Limited. They're the closest he's seen to stock in quality and correctness. I'm not sure if they have Olds harnesses, however, so you'll have to check.

That could be the case. I'm not sure. All I know is, I've had to change out a few connectors--one for the windshield wiper motor, a couple of ground connectors cause they didn't fit the post. Plust the wires are a noticeably thinner gauge. At least the ones I received.

I've used both. American Autowire is the best layout out there for many manufacturers.
Customer service is phenomenal afterwards, but it's their product that really just shines above the competitions.
Schematics included are designed for "Wiring for dummies" and so easy to follow.
I can't speak for M&H because I've never heard of them.
All the pro-touring guys updating their cars use American Autowire or ISIS.
But ISIS is more for making your car operate like a modern Lexus......and the $$$ reflects it.
