powermaster 9610

Hey. My 72 cutlass 455 has had a single battery cable going down to the starter with a bar connecting "B" terimnal to the "S" terminal ever since I got the car, with the solenoid remotely located on the inner fender well. Worked good so far but I wanted something less suseptible to heat soak. My question is, I am going to get the powermaster starter, Is it ok to connect the "B" terminal to the "I" terminal in the same fashion that my original starter was wired? thanks
