Power Window Motor Replacement

Passenger side window motor has some "dead spots" Since the lady of the house always forgets this I am at times stuck with a stuck window. I've seen replacement motors on the web (cheap too!). Based on what I've read I have to cut the inner door panel to access the window motor bolts?? Is this correct? If so, has anyone had success in this process?

Thanks

dig in and see.
You may have to remove the regulator assembly, drill out some rivets.

Beware that clockspring if/ when you remove the motor from the regulator asm.

You may find bad teeth on the sector gear instead of a bad *motor*
