Power Window Motor Question ???? (72 Cutlass)

I am converting my Manual Windows to Power Windows. I bought a set of Power Window Regulators with the Motors and wiring harnesses. I tested all for motors and only one was not working. I will clean them up and grease them up. One of the motors was not working, so I removed the motor from the regulator and tried to grease and manipulate the worm gear with my thumb. I could not free it up. Can anyone give my some guidance before I totally screw it up, lol..

Thanks, Pat

Never took one of those apart, but the odds are that you could disassemble the motor and find out what's jamming it.

Worse comes to worst, threr are a lot of other power window motors out there in junkyards.

The old grease has hardened inside, common issue.
You can try to spray some WD40 around the worm, let it soak, and try again the next day. But the solution is to take the whole motor apart and clean it out and relube. I have not tried it but would like to try some day.. I have to do this to my neighbor's deer feeder but the motor is totally different.

Around here, we have another word for "deer feeder."

We call it a "garden."

Although not after the deer get through with it.

Why on earth would you feed those wretched things instead of shoot them?

In attempt to attract them so we can shoot them.
The coons and hogs always seem to sabotage the feeders though. This one was broke and found down in knee-deep mud.

Heck, the bears'll open up anything left out with food in it.

'Course, you can shoot them, too, in the right season...
