Could this be something that an electrician could fix? I know a good electrician that I hire on https://bates-electric.com/locations/charlotte-nc/, and when he was doing something on my house he told me that he does everything in his house, and the car too. It would be great if electricians could fix a problem like this one, but that might be just one guy that's a good mechanic too. I will have to ask him about it the next time, the mechanic I have close to me is awful. He is just taking the money from people without doing anything.
