Original Alt ?

68-442, I've come across what I think is the original alternator in a box of loose parts, I was about to toss.
Part No,-1100767 37A, date code-8E9?
looks is pretty decent shape but I don't know if it works yet.


Are my numbers correct and how does the date code actually read?

In addition to what Sam mentioned, the 1100767 is the correct alternator for a '68 A-body without A/C.
