Name this relay! 71 Cutlass

wondering what this relay is; wiring color seems long decayed to black not sure what this is. BTW, anybody know a source for the convertible circuit breaker below it? Mine looks pretty crappy and I'm rewiring and would like to just replace it w/a new one. Thx!!

Looks like that car's been the victim of a rattle can underhood detail job- just spray everything black.

Get some lacquer thinner and clean the wires and you'll see their true colors. It'll be easier to ID the relay then, but I'm leaning toward blower high speed relay.

If the CB won't clean up, you should be able to find something very similar at an old-line auto parts store. Don't count on the well-known chains having it, but you can check. NAPA, CarQuest, Fisher, something like that will be a better bet. Take the thing with you.

I agree, blower motor high speed relay. It looks to have been replaced at one time and mounted it the lock tab hole (hence the askew mounting).

Well, IF its the blower motor relay, then I don't have to do anything since I'm putting in a new Classic Auto Air A/C. Now that I have the hint, I'll look in the FSM and see if this looks like the color of the wires. If so, I'll just remove. THX!

Anybody know the source of the convertible circuit breaker? I do need to replace that sucker.
