Hello good people. I have 1967 Cutlass. The license plate bulb doesnt turn on. The power wire has power. The bulb contact in the bulb housing has power. It has a new bulb. Still the bulb doesnt light up. Can any one tell me why? Is there a ground Im missing?

 

It has to have both power AND ground. That means the socket to the bracket, the bracket to the bumper, the bumper to the bumper brackets, and the bumper brackets to the frame all have to be clean and tight. Try running a jumper from the socket to a good ground.

 

Yes I did run a jumper to the socket and work just fine now thank you for your advise
