Question Isn't there something missing???

Hi,
as mentioned in another thread I removed the Radio of my 1952 Eighty-Eight today and dismounted some parts...
The Radio is not working at the moment and I discovered something strange inside (see picture).
There is only one cable mounted to the speaker. this cable goes to a switch (the switch is mounted under the radio) and from the switch another cable is going into some ...thing... (don't know what this is)
But I think there should be two cables by the speaker...

does anybody know where the second cable should be or have a wiring diagramme for the vintage Oldsmobile radios?
the number of the radio is 982698

thanks for your help!

best regards,
Kai

The radio speaker may have 1 wire to the speaker and utilize chassis ground for the other.

But then should there be any cable on the speaker which is connected to the ground? I don't think that the speaker gets the chassis ground with its frame/housing...

Where is the other terminal on the speaker connected?

it's not connected to anything...
but it doesn't matter... I decided to throw all of the old radio out (just out of the car... of course I will keep it) and maybe built a mini computer in it.
I'm also thinking of a 6V to 12V conversion so I just can put a modern radio into the glovebox...
