The three wire male connector is the one that plugs into the radio. Lt blue and black are the front speaker wires into the radio and yellow is power into the radio.
The three wire female connector green wire is power into the tape player. Lt blue and black are where the wires from the front speaker connect to the tape player.
The dk blue wire with the female connector body is the rear speaker wire that goes to the stereo adapter (if you have stereo radio) or to the rear speaker fader control on the radio if you do not have stereo radio.
The dk blue wire without a connector body is supposed to have a single cavity male connector body and this connects to the wire that runs to the rear speaker.

It is VERY likely that the belts are bad in the radio. Even if it plays some, it will speed up and slow down. Also, the track selector is likely gummed up from the old dried out grease. They are easy to get going again but you have to get new belts and clean them up.
