Help with 2 electrical issues
I need help with 2 electrical issues.
First my wipers move ever so slightly when the key is on. When i use the wiper switch it works on low high and wash, but when i turn it off they are still powered up slightly and the pivots for the wiper arms are moving ever so slightly. Is this a ground issue? Do I just need to run a ground wire from the wiper motor to the body of the car?
2nd - When I open my drivers door the horn relay buzzes? Only the drivers door, passenger nothing. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated....Todd

Sounds like a problem with the park switch.
These things have a very complicated wiper mechanism, but troubleshooting and repair information is available in the Fisher Body Manual.
I can't speculate as to the exact cause, as I've never heard of that exact problem before.
That's your key warning buzzer.
It's supposed to do that.
Pull the pink wire off of the horn relay if you hate it as much as I do.

Eric so that is working off the drivers door switch and not the ignition itself. This is stock then...correct? Thanks ....Todd
P.S. the fact that it doesnt buzz off the passenger door is also correct?

Key in ignition switch + driver's door open = Buzzer.
No key in switch, no buzzer.
Driver's door closed, no buzzer.
I honestly don't remember whether the engine has to be off, but I think it only does it with the switch in OFF or ACC.
Any car made 1969 and later does the same thing, so unless you've been driving nothing later than a '68 since 1968, you've already experienced these on other cars.
Now, if you're saying that the buzzer goes off even with NO key in the switch, then the contacts inside the steering column have gone bad, and you need to either open up the column and repair or replace them (annoying) or just pull the pink wire off the relay (easy).
