Heater motor relay
My heater fan stoped working in my 66 Delta88 2DR HT and the fuse looks good but there is no power to the motor plug in the engine compartment I have looked under the dash but don't see the heater relay any where any help would be app. we just got our first big snow on the western slope of COLORADO and it is cold with no heater blowing.

Why do things fail when you need them the most???
Is this a heater only car? If so, check the following:
Replace the fuse in the fuse block with a good one (bad ones can sometimes 'look' good) and next the master switch on the sliding control lever. From there, power goes to the blower resistor and then to the blower switch and then to the motor.
Note that even if the resistor was bad, high speed should still work as the blower switch bypasses the resistor on high.
Those tips were given off the 1966 Cutlass wiring diagram I have - I hope they are applicable to your 88.
I do not know of any relay in the heater only cars...
If the car is A/C, then my expertise diminishes by a tenfold.
In later years, the fan relay was for high speed only; not sure if the 66 is the same.
Hope you get it fixed - it IS COLD out there!! (And here, too!)

no power to motor on all speeds?
the heater relay is in the engine compartment on or near the firewall on the passenger side. iirc, it has a fat purple and a fat black w/white stripe wires connected to it with a couple of smaller wires too. a non-a/c car may not have a relay.

Thanks guys it is a non a/c car so the tips are great i will keep you posted we are on our second week of snow and cold only going to get in the 20's this week. My gas gauge has quite working again it seems to work for a while and then it stops again. I have checked the fuses and don't know where to go from here.
