Green Wire on 350 block

Green Wire on 350 block

At the risk of embarrassing myself, could anyone tell me what the green wire on the block of my 350 is for and what it does. See attached.

No picture posted. The green wire on the engine is most likely the temp sensor. How ever there are other green wires on the front harnesses.

That IS the temp sender wire.
