Does anyone know the equivalent fuse amperage to the stock fusible links on a 1986 cutlass salon. I just purchased the car and i had the heat on, the rear defrost, radio, turn signal, holding the brake, and windshield wipers. I pressed the window button and the car went dead. I called the original owner and explained the situation and he informed me that he got rid of the fusible links and installed a bus fuse block with 25amp fuses. Apparently 25amps isnt enough, but whats safe? I can do the math but i want to know what the original aperage was in the fusible links.
