I plan on replacing my stock fan/fan clutch set up with an electric fan. I have a 4 core brass radiator and would love it if there is a dual fan set up that moves 2500 cfm (Assuming that is enough)that I could just pop in. If anyone has done this and has part numbers etc. let me know what works best. My motor is not a stock 350, but has the following upgrades, so I need to move some air across the radiator.

on modern aluminum radiator styles designed for electric fans.

2500 cfm is nothing.

 

So is it a better plan to buy a complete aluminum rad and fan set and just drop that in as opposed to trying to rig something up w/ my current rad?

2000 Ford Windstar dual fans over 4000 cfm, typically $40 used, get the connector pigtails with it. Fits the 72 4 core radiator perfectly.

I would suggest having the other fan on a temp and AC trinary switch.
My 72 LSx is a DD with this setup, I've never seen over 203 degrees (196 thermostat) even on 105 degree days in traffic this summer, AC blowing COLD..
Thinking it could cool a small nuclear power plant.

 

Check the amp draw on whatever fan you pick, probably need a bigger alternator if stock now.

That's why I having been too gun-ho on finding the Taurus 3 wire fan (I bought a 2 wire by mistake) because I've read is could draw upto 70 amps

I do have the Volvo control relay, and I shopped the alternator, but the alternator is around $240 and I have slight issues with the 100 amp I used to replace my 78 amp OE one

 

FYI I just bought a 105 amp alternator for an 89 Pontiac Safari that bolts right on. $75. You'll obviously have to rewire it. It even has the right pulley.
