Custom Autosound Center Speaker

I bought this speaker to replace the stock one in the center of my dash.
I realised this speaker is designed to fit in a car w/o air. It's taller than the stock speaker not allowing the air duct to be attached to the vent in the dash.
I really had my heart set on putting a speaker in the factory location. I'll need to do more research to find the right one for my application. I'll be going with the factory appearing AM-FM radio https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-72-Old...53.m1438.l2649

I bought the same one you did. Couldn't get the center vent duct back in.

You can also use a heat gun to soften the plastic duct and press a dent into it so it will clear the speaker when it is installed. Had to do that for a very insistent customer back in the day.
