I have a 72 cutlass that i am putting cruise control on it. Can anyone tell me where the fused 12 volt wire is supposed to go to? looks like it piggiebacks to another connector but i cant figure out which one it is. Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks Greg

Hi Greg
I'm not very good with wiring, but I've got a camera and a 1971 Cutlass project car with cruise. Are you needing to see where the power attaches to the face of the fuse box? Or if not, tell me what pictures to take and I'll try to get them for you. John

Well i have 2 cruise control harness setups, both of them after the fuse holder go to a plug that hooks kinda piggyback to another plug set up, kinda like if you have a power trunk button and piggyback it to the glove box light power. I was going to just go to the fusebox but it looked like it went somewhere else.

Cruise control
Greg, it goes to the accessory tab on the fuse block. Have a look at page 15-16 of this link. It will show you exactly what you are looking for. http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/membe...ection_15A.pdf BTW, are you installing OEM cruise or aftermarket?

Looks kinda like the red piece on my fuse block. My car had a power bench seat when I got it. I sold that several years ago but think it was also plugged into this piece. Mine doesn't have the inline fuse but I believe mine goes to the relay behind the drivers side kick panel. John

John, the red piece you have there is a small version of an accessory junction block. The cruise can be plugged into that or the spot where the blue wire is. Those fuse holders look real ugly....

Minor thread hijack... Allen, I don't think my project car was staying as dry as I'd though the past few winters

It's taking FOREVER Rob! But that's what I get for trying to do it myself and not hire a contractor! 20/20 hindsight I would have had this done months ago if I'd have farmed it out!
