Brake light switch badly positioned or broken.

Problem with signal light switch.

Why not use a test light or meter to check the brake light switch?

I have it hooked up tona batterynfor right now so i can get the lights figured out, no motor so no other way to get power.

When i connect the wire to my battery my brake lights and front orange lights (below the headlights) come on and stay on even with the headlight switch all the way in..

You sure they are brake lights, seems to me the park circuit may be on. Disconnect one side of the brake light switch and see if they go out.

Yeah they stay on with the switch unpluged or just one side connected.. Its been awhile since ive seen this cars brake lights, but these seem to bright to be tail lights.. This couldnt have anything to do with that SOB neutral saftey switch for any reason could it? I only ask cause that was the one thing i couldnt figure out for the life of me.

Little update.. I removed the hazard flasher fuse and my brake lights went off.. I then re connected the stop light switch and they came back on, pressed in the button they went off! YESS! But ofcorse this created another problem. My front orange lights still stay on, and now flash with the stop light switch!

What the %#+! is going on here!? Lol

The neutral safety switch has nothing to do with brake lights, but will effect backup lights. Seems something is a miss with your brake and parking light wiring. Your going to have to trace that out.

You know what was wrong with the thing the whole time? Well, my hazzard switch is a bit beat up you could say. Someone had broken off the hazzard switch flush to the colum. I never even knew the car had hazzards or even a hazard switch for that matter. Anways ended up screwing a screw into it a bit wiggled it around they turned off and everything is working now. My hazzards dont flash just come on solid front and back, thats why i never knew my hazzards were the problem in the first place THEY NEVER FLASHED letting me onow they were hazzards lol dam lights. but perhaps its just a bad flasher or the hazzard switch itself..

All in all i never had a electrical problem, Mor like a bad switch or flasher. My hazzards were just "over riding" my turn signals and brake lights
