Battery recommendation

Battery recommendation

could any one recommend a 6 V battery, good quality , for my 50 88 303.

If I remember correctly that is one of those rectangular batteries with the metal cover over it. I don't know if Walmart can get it but they have some of the best batteries around and their prices are good. Interstate might have one. It is not a common item.

I think an 8 volt will work in your car. If so,that might help.

An 8 volt will work but I think you will need to adjust the voltage regulator since the system is set for 6 volts.

Wasn't sure of the process but I remember using 8 volt batteries in the 6 volt cars without blowing bulbs and fuses.

For those who want an original-looking battery with modern high-output innards, a factory in Germany will copy your original tar-top. It won't be cheap, though. I don't know if they'll copy the caps, if necessary. You could probably clone those in a 3-D printer, just in case:
