Anyone recognize this distributor cap?

I bought an engine that has been upgraded with an electronic ignition. I was hoping to go to the manufacturers website and download the instructions for it, but I can't find a name or part number anywhere. I was hoping someone would recognize it.

Hey there they are!!!

Looks like a standard HEI ignition to me. These were equiped on most GM engines from 70s-80's

Did mallory actually make new internals for the distributor or was it like the Accel upgraded components but same basic ignition system?

I'm telling you guys... there are no markings on this thing anywhere. I have had two other folks look at it and they can't find a mark either. There are also no markings on the distrubutor itself.

Could be Mallory or MSD cap on stock HEI. Mallory may be dark (maroon) while MSD are lighter, bright red.

Could be this generic china made one. I put one in my car and could not find ANY markings on the cap or rotor.

There are Chinesium distributor caps available in a wide range of colors, including red. I wouldn't read too much into this one.

Looks kinda like a Proform HEI. Made offshore but seems to work ok, and it has a red cap with a black coil cover.
