Temperature warning light sending unit, which threads into the intake manifold in the coolant crossover passage near the thermostat housing.
Olds used both COLD and HOT warning lamps thru 1969. One wire is for COLD light, the other for HOT. The dual sending units have been obsolete for many years but you can still find NOS ones every so often.
COLD light came on when engine started and went off when coolant temp reached 120 degrees F or so. HOT light came on for bulb test when ignition was turned to START, then went out unless coolant temp hit 250-260 degrees F.

Hi thanks, the car has amp, oilpressure and temp gauges under the dash.I suppose that the temp gauge sender is mounted where the original sender should be mounted.
And the oilpressure,i assume the readings are in psi.
