Smile 91 OLDS Assembly Manual

Hi:This is my first visit to an Olds Forum.
First:
I would like to buy an assembly manual that has IPB's and part numbers for my 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme. This is a wonderful vehicle and my grandson wants me to pass it on to him. He wants to keep his first car for 50 years like I did. So I am hoping to get as much tech info for him as possible. Does anyone know of a source for OLDS manuals. I have searched ebay a number of times without success.

Second:
Took my car to a Chevy dealership for a "rough Idle" problem. They kept it for five days. Replaced a couple parts but didn't fix the problem. Would love to find an OLDS expert in South Jersey.

Thanks, Tom

Tom,
This has sat for a day without a reply, probably because nobody is sure where you could get a manual, too old for the parts counter at NAPA or O'Reilly, too new to be covered by the guys on ebay. And I just went out on a limb there, watch someone will show my error. Anyway, we are reluctant to pass bad info here, not unfriendly. Welcome to our site and good luck.

What's an IPB?

If you're looking for the copies of assembly manuals like the ones you can get for the A-body cars, good luck. No one prints those because restoration of the FWD Cutlii isn't very popular.

If you're just looking for a factory service manual, they are all over ebay. Here's just the first one I found:

These cars may be new enough that you can still get originals from Helm, Inc.:

AH! AKA: Parts Manual, Parts Book, etc. These also show up on ebay from time to time.

I recognized it because we used that acronym in Naval Aviation.

did you mean you clicked on reply to a pm? That function should work.

Yes NAVAIR, I was an AX initially then had to convert to an AT in the early 90's, retired in '95 as an ATC but I still refer to myslef as an AXC.

91 OLDS Manuals

Dan:This was originally a "Quick Reply" which didn't seem to work.

I was on a Cruiser and a Repair Ship out of Norfolk until 1956. Was an FC2, Fire Control Tech. Then as a Civlian worked with Army as MSL field service Tech and finally with in Naval Aviation until a few years ago. Loved every minuite of it in spite of some tough tasks.

Now about the IPB. I think that I just ordered what I want from a company recommended to me in a phone call to GM/Oldsmobile. I will put up the info so that if someone else wants old GM manuals they will have a lead:
I called Olds at 1-800-255-6537. They referred me to Bishko Books at 1-800-544-3312.
I got the Factory Parts Manual that is also used by the dealers, for $110.00 (includes shipping).

I already have the two volumes of the shop manual which are great. I guess I'll be studying the data so that I can better maintain my car along with some expert help if I can locate someone local.
I am in South Jersey, Zip 08012. If help is out there they can contact me.
