69 cutlass console mounted neutral safety switch
My recent resto project is a 69 Cutlass Supreme. Was not getting back up light contact so I started to inspect switch within the floor console only to discover that some one did some disrepair. The neutral safety/back up switch is mounted to the rear of the shift lever and a slide mechanism on the switch attaches to the shift lever.
The slide is pretty mangled and was disconnected. A "jumper" was used to make contact for the neutral safety switch.
OK. Cannot find anyone including YearOne, and Fusick, and OPGI that have this switch. Also is the slide lever part of the switch or a seperate item? Anyone who can help would be deeply appreciated. 70 ctls

I have the same problem with my 69. I took the switch apart last fall and found it very dirty and also a solder contact on the slide had wore completely off. I soldered in a new contact point and cleaned the switch up and put it back togeather. I broke one of the fold over tabs that holds the switch body togeather, but it works for now. I plan on replacing it this year anyways. I found a source on Ebay called Tamraz that sells reproductions for $79 that I copied in below. If you click on that link below it should take you to the site and the switch shown.
